It’s the little things that bother you to an extent nothing else does. It’s the little feelings that are hard to decipher and hard to tame. It’s difficult to get people to understand you, sometimes it’s difficult to understand yourself. But writing them down can make your heart feel a little lighter.
Comfort; noun: a state of physical ease and freedom from pain or constraint.
As kids, we are rocked, kissed, stroked, hugged, and picked up when we need emotional soothing. Again, as we get older, words often replace touch. We are soothed by hearing that it’s okay to feel as we do, that things will get better, that we are loved despite whatever we did wrong. Nevertheless, you deserve to feel love, joy, and all good feelings about life.
Places have a lot to tell, especially if it is a special place that you go to when you feel low. All of us have that specific ‘place’ that we go to, when we are our most emotionally vulnerable selves. It could be a beautiful spot outdoors or simply a snug little corner at your home. Your ‘place’ could also be a certain someone or your biggest cheerleader, you yourself.
