There are various evils in our society, one of which happens to be the desire to have a boy. Everyone wants an ideal mother, sister, wife, but not a daughter. Not a day goes by when you don’t hear of the news of a crime committed against women in India. It is harrowing to watch the status of women’s safety, especially in a country where women are given the stature of goddesses. Remember that you can call your daughters “Beta” but you can’t call your sons “Beti”. This should tell us why daughters are so special.
There will be times where you lose some battles, become so frustrated that you would want to give up instead. Life is a war where battles take place frequently. If you lose some, you win some too. Failure is not the end of the road, it is just a way to make you analyse what went wrong and not repeat the same mistakes again. Instead of giving up, remember that the Phoenix always rises from its ashes. You can too.
When a war ends, millions are left behind dead and those who survive, lose everything in it. Its unjustified when a conflict has a possibility of being solved through discussion and is still raised to a point where war becomes necessary. The merciless killing of innocent people, which leads to endless tragedy, is inhumane and not worth anything ever. The wise solve the issues and the stupid fight. Everyone loses in a war. War is not the solution, instead it worsens the situation till it becomes impossible to come out of unscathed.
There are such situations when life takes a toll on us. We all face such moments in life when things don’t work out. It may be a failure, heartbreak or just some inner struggle. It is almost as if life is mocking us. This poem dwells into such times and reminds us that things do work out in the end.
