It’s the little things that bother you to an extent nothing else does. It’s the little feelings that are hard to decipher and hard to tame. It’s difficult to get people to understand you, sometimes it’s difficult to understand yourself. But writing them down can make your heart feel a little lighter.
Comfort; noun: a state of physical ease and freedom from pain or constraint.
As kids, we are rocked, kissed, stroked, hugged, and picked up when we need emotional soothing. Again, as we get older, words often replace touch. We are soothed by hearing that it’s okay to feel as we do, that things will get better, that we are loved despite whatever we did wrong. Nevertheless, you deserve to feel love, joy, and all good feelings about life.
There are such situations when life takes a toll on us. We all face such moments in life when things don’t work out. It may be a failure, heartbreak or just some inner struggle. It is almost as if life is mocking us. This poem dwells into such times and reminds us that things do work out in the end.
