Ascended Reality

Ascension of my own reality where I reach a place which is fantastical and perfect is something I personally love to indulge in. However, how safe is this haven, as I look into my circumstances and ascertain the merits of an ascended reality.

Mirror, mirror on the wall

Inanimate objects hold duality and the viewer’s perspective highlights the prominent side. The mirror could be a relic of self beauty for some. But, for a few, it could merely be a reflection of what they hate the most. I fall in the latter category, but this isn’t a hateful note oozing with resentment. It is a monologue of sorts. The lack of response hinders me from calling it a conversation.

Winning the lottery

Life knocks us all down. It seems more bitter than sweet at times . The overwhelming responsibilities piling up and the constant need to prove ourselves, often crushes our confidence. But we often forget how wonderful life actually is. This is a different perspective on life and a reminder that you are more special than you realise. No matter the problems you face, you have beaten worse odds without you realising!!

Dear Death

Losing someone is the hardest thing someone can go through. Even if we know they are long gone, their memories always stay with us and the hole they leave behind is impossible to fill. I recently lost my grandmother and I dealt with it the only way I knew, by writing. I wrote a letter to death, with all my complaints, deep sadness and a hope that she is in a better place.

Girl in the Mirror

“I used to look in the mirror and feel shame, I look in the mirror now and I absolutely love myself” Drew Barrymore, This poem is from when I got tired of the girl in the mirror and before i fell in love with her.

A Child’s Drought

People always forget the importance of what they have. More like, they do not believe in its significance. That is until it is are taken away from them. Somewhere, we all are like children, so we don’t like those who put a collar on us. We hate the rain. It’s like an unwelcomed guest that ruins our time. But once it stops raining, we suffer through the drought and beg for the rain to come back. Parents are like this rain for us. Sometimes they prevent us from doing certain things. It is because they want us to travel on a road where we do not hurt ourselves. We only understand them understand them once we are in their shoes. We only understand them once the rain stops.

The Escapist

A nightmare doesn’t seem like such a bad idea if you think of it as an roller coaster thriller you can tune out of, and also when it is the only time you’re truly living while stuck in the cage that is a mundane life.

Banality of Mainstream Media

The mainstream media has abruptly lost its essence since its inception, and unfair practices in this field have marked a spike. News channels are stuck in a labyrinth of dramatizing every crisis just to please the target audience. Has it just become a place steered by government officials? Has it just become a room for more assumptions and rumors rather than stating out the facts? Why is it hard to report ‘the truth’?
